Downloading MP3's?

I want a free MP3 downloader on my computer that does not contain spyware or popups and is easy to use. I have tried Morpheus and Warez and was not very happy with them. Anybody know of any good ones?

www.Limewire.com
You could use Winamp and purchase it, it can make your songs MP3's. You could also try free music sites if you go and search. If you want illegal music, you're on your own.
forget the downloader. go to a free music site like music.download.com or www.soundclick.com, find some music, right click where it says download or save, click on save target as in the dialog box that pops up and it goes to your computer's hard drive.
I highly recommend you use bittorent to get mp3s.

I recommend utorrent or Azureus, and if you are looking for *.torrent files, hit piratebay, mininova or torrentspy.

Enjoy! And try foobar2000 for playing your mp3s, it's a slim and fast alternative to Windows Media Player or Winamp.
I Use Shareaza and have not had any problems, been using them for over a year now, give it a try.

It is a spy-ware remover, but It doesn't completely catch everything. I would suggest running another one my favorite is Ad-Aware fr. Lava soft. Here's the link run both once a week, or when you fell like it.

Just download the personal version w/ is free. I've been using it for many years now and I'm totally satisfied, awesome program.

Spybot is a good thing. It's program that removes spyware and adware from your computer. Spyware and adware are placed there by websites that you visit. They're not illegal but they slow your computer down because they are busy sending information to their sponsors. It really needs to become illegal, in my opinion.
I have read the other cases by the answerers and cannot say much more than they have. But I will tell you this...be careful what you download online. I downloaded an unpopular brand of spyware once because my PC was acting strangely. After it finished scanning...the spyware program said that it had found 20 types of viruses. I'm very convinced that they were fed into my PC and neither could I delete them.
spybot is a software to kill spywares on your computer.
Spybot can fix problems with tracking cookies, system internals (Registry), Winsock LSPs, ActiveX objects, browser hijackers, BHOs, and can to some extent protect a user's privacy, by deleting usage tracks. Spybot also includes an "Immunize" feature to block the installation of spyware before it occurs. Another tool included in Spybot is a file shredder, for the secure deletion of files. Spybot is not intended to replace anti-virus programs, but it does detect some common trojans and keyloggers
Spyware is any software that covertly gathers user information through the user鈥檚 Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. However, it should be noted that the majority of shareware and freeware applications do not come with spyware. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about E-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers.

Login Tracking?

Often when I click on a link, on my way to it another page pops in over the top. For example, if I click a link for MAC iPOD information, a page offering me a free iPOD will intervene.

If I do a search for spyware, then a page pops up telling me I'm infected with god knows how many problems and tries to force me into clicking to download their programme.

So my movements are being tracked by advertisers. How do I stop it?

These are just two of many examples.

Hi Alex,

You have spyware. There is software that is using smart technology to see what you are typing in and using keywords it is "offering" you a solution to what you are wanting.... Why? because some people are just ignorant enough to click on them and follow the links... Thank goodness you are not like that. But you are infested with the spyware for sure. Now we just need to clean your system and you will be ok.

Go to http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/30... and download Ad Aware. Install it and then run the program. IT will remove a lot of the infestations but they are far from cleaned out yet. Restart your computer in safe mode. Do this by telling it to restart and as it starts to come on hit the F8 hit repeatedly until it brings you to a menu. Then select windows safe mode no network support. Then it will finally start and then run Ad Aware one more time. After it comes up and you have more that it found run it again and repeat until it finally returns no objects found.

Then reboot.

Start up your browser and see if it behaves this time.

If you do not have any type of anti-virus protection by all means go to the home page of download.com and look at two avast and avg. I am not sure which is better. There are many people who would rather fight over which is best rather than spend time with a buddy quaffing a few root beers if you know what I mean?

Good luck email me if you have more wuestions or I was not clear in my pounding of the keys...

How to remove Mirar Toolbar?

I share a computer with my sisters, and they all go to who-knows-what websites. Apparently Mirar toolbar installed itself, and I've heard that it has spyware.

It has no uninstall program and is not listed in Add/Remove Programs, and all the spyware I can find on the internet costs money, or the free version finds but DOES NOT REMOVE the program. I saw on one site that editing your system registry can help, but that you run a risk of completely destroying your computer. How can I remove Mirar for free without risking the destruction of my computer?

Do you think this malware alarm site it legit?

I was just online and an alert box popped up that said "your computer is running slower than normal, it may be infected with viruses, spyware, or adware. MalwareAlarm will perform a quick and completely FREE scan of your system for malicious programs. Download MalwareAlarm for FREE now?". I clicked cancel, and it brought me to this site:

http://scanner2.malware-scan.com/4_swp/s...

I don't know that much about malicious programming, and I don't want to just download something off the internet that I don't trust, so do you think this is a jip, or could it be legitimate?

Do you think this malware alarm site it legit?avast

what you have is an rougue program designed to get you to buy there program, which of course will not do anything.

you will want to get a spyware program

adaware

www.lavasoft.com

spybot s%26d

www.safer-networking.org

both are free

get them up todate, reboot and do a full scan

Do you think this malware alarm site it legit?ducati

No,I think it is another of those crap-programs that just pop-up and make fake scans in order advertise.I suggest that you don't do anything.I don't think that a scanner can be so fast and find so many errors. My ZoneAlarm firewall has anti-spyware and yesterday that I scanned it didn'y find anything at all!!!!

Can someone please help me?

I use IE and Firefox! I use Firefox the majority of the time! I need some help with Anti-Virus programs. Right now I have AVG Free Edition, CCleaner, Ad-Aware2007,Spybot Search and Destroy, and Super Anti-Spyware Edition. I have no experience with these things and I have a feeling, that I have too many of these programs installed on my PC. First of all is AVG Free Anti-Virus a good program, or is there a better free edition you could recommend? Out of the other programs I listed, which ones should I keep and which ones should I uninstall? Also on my browser on the bottom right hand corner of my screen, my AVG Icon turned to black, but when I check my status, is says I'm fully protected. Why did the icon turn black? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and Have A Great Day!

Can someone please help me?bmw

Actually you are just fine. I use AVG it's a great program, as for your spyware and adware programs, you have the best there is to offer, you can have 2-5 spyware/adware programs without any probelsm, just don't run them at them same time, one at a time.

So your golden.

Can someone please help me?free adware remover

AVG is a great program and it's a good idea to have the others too to check for stuff that AVG Free doesn't.
